Route 66 - 12 Hour Day to Springfield and back

For those not going on the Chapter's Around the Lake trip, I will be leading a group of interested riders down Old Route 66 for a full day, 420 mile round trip ride to enjoy:


A) Breakfast at Old Route 66 Family Restaurant in Dwight.


B) A stop at the Route 66 Experience on the Illinois State Fairgrounds.


C) A photo stop and ride on Historic Route 66 Brick Road (Listed in the National Register of Historic Places).

D) A late lunch/ice cream stop at Docs Just off 66 in Girard, Illinois, an "Old Fashioned Soda Fountain".

From there we will be taking I-55 home toward Joliet.

The plan is to meet at Conrad's by 6:30-6:45am, KSU/PBO at 7am.
There is a gas/comfort stop planned midway between Dwight and Springfield in Atlanta, Illinois.

Closed Event: Chapter activities are conducted primarily for the benefit of H.O.G. Chapter members. Closed Events are those events open to Chapter members and one guest per member.  All guests must sign an event release. Be aware, all rides and events are subject to change or cancellation due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control.
